Week 3 Anchor Guide, Local Service Website & Lead System

How to Turn Real Customer Questions Into Pages That Convert

A real customer question, answered clearly, with one relevant next step, is how a page actually turns a visitor into a lead. This guide walks through the whole path and pulls together everything Week 3 covered about contact flow.

This is Week 3's full guide in the Local Service Website & Lead System. It pulls together everything from this week's 7 daily pieces into one complete resource.

The Direct Answer

A page built around a real customer question converts when it does three things in order: answers the question clearly and quickly, gives one relevant next step instead of a generic sales pitch, and makes it easy to actually take that step. Skip any one of those and the page still informs, it just doesn't convert.

Week 1 covered what a website needs overall. Week 2 covered trust. This week was about the mechanics of turning an interested visitor into an actual lead, the calls, the forms, and everything around them.

1Start With A Real Question, Not A Guess

The strongest pages don't come from brainstorming what sounds professional, they come from real questions customers actually ask before hiring. Think back to your last 10-20 calls, what did people ask? What situation were they in? Write it down in their words, not your industry's.

2Answer It Clearly, Then Stop

Answer the question in the first few sentences. Don't make a visitor read three paragraphs of setup before getting to the point. One clear concept, one specific example, no padding, that's the shape every piece this week followed.

3Give One Relevant Next Step

After the answer, what should happen? Match the next step to where that visitor actually is. Someone asking "what should I check before hiring a roofer" isn't ready for "call now," they're ready for a comparison checklist. Someone asking "why is my water heater not working" might be ready to call today. Read the question, then pick the step that fits it.

Defaulting to the same call to action on every page, regardless of the question, wastes the exact moment a visitor is most engaged.

4Make Taking That Step Actually Easy

This is where Week 3's daily pieces come in. A form with too many fields, a confusing confirmation, or a buried call to action can undo a perfectly good page. The mechanics matter as much as the message.

A short contact form, name, phone, a brief description, converts far better than an eight-field form asking for details that could just as easily be gathered on the call. Every extra field is one more chance for a ready visitor to give up.

The Question-To-Lead Path

This is the same path from Week 1, applied specifically to contact flow.

Real customer question
Clear, direct answer
One relevant next step
Easy way to take it (short form or clear call)
Confirmation that sets expectations
Lead or customer

Week 3's Daily Pieces

Each of these covers one piece of the contact flow in more depth.

Quick Questions About This Guide

Do I need a new page for every single question customers ask?

No. Start with the 3-5 questions that come up most, or that relate to the highest-value service. You can always add more pages later as new patterns show up in your calls.

What comes after this week?

Week 4 moves into mobile experience and decision-stage content, making sure the site actually works on a phone, and helping visitors who are close to hiring make that final call.
